WELCOME TO BAU 2026 – A MIXED CONGRESS
Science. Performance. Balance.
On 4–5 December 2026, the Belgian urological community will come together at
MIX Brussels for a revisited edition of our annual congress.
BAU 2026 – A MIXED CONGRESS is designed to bring different worlds together.
With this new concept, we want to reflect the reality of today’s urologists: striving for excellence, making complex decisions and caring for others, while preserving our own health, energy and balance.
THE SCIENTIFIC PROGRAMME
The MIXED concept starts with the scientific programme itself. Rather than traditional subspecialty blocks, we will deliberately mix the different fields of urology throughout the meeting, creating a dynamic programme that reflects the diversity of our everyday practice.
At its core is our “How I Do” concept: high-level, evidence-based science translated into real-life clinical practice. This year, we have also fully integrated the ESRU and our urologists in training into the scientific programme, bringing different generations together and giving our younger colleagues an active role throughout the congress.
Focused lectures, surgical videos, challenging cases and interactive round tables will explore not only what the evidence says, but also how we actually use it to make decisions and treat our patients.
BEYOND UROLOGY
BAU 2026 also takes us Beyond Urology.
Throughout the congress, speakers from outside the urological community will bring fresh perspectives on topics that resonate with both our professional and personal lives.
Through contributions on nutrition, sport, performance, wellbeing, work-life balance and personal growth, we want to reflect not only on how we care for our patients, but also on how we take care of ourselves, sustain performance and maintain balance throughout demanding careers.
OUTSIDE THE LECTURE ROOM
Last but not least, BAU 2026 is about the experience outside the lecture room.
For those who wish to join, the congress will start with a morning walk through the beautiful Forêt de Soignes - a chance to get moving, connect with colleagues and start the congress differently.
Participants will also have the opportunity to make the most of the unique setting of MIX Brussels with optional sport and wellness activities after the congress.
And of course, there will be plenty of opportunities to reconnect with colleagues, exchange ideas informally and simply enjoy time together, culminating in our festive Congress Dinner on Friday evening.
Above all, BAU 2026 is about connecting - across subspecialties, across generations and across the Belgian urological community.
